More airflow makes more sound. Auto Protect can raise the fan speed when particles increase, and Deep Clean boosts airflow for a more intensive clean. Start by checking the mode, then the purifier's placement and filters.
Helpful Tip: Keep the air openings clear of curtains, furniture, and pet bedding. A flat, stable floor also helps limit vibration.
Step-by-Step Instructions
- Check the current mode in the app. Auto Protect changes fan speed automatically, and Deep Clean increases airflow.
- Select a lower manual fan speed to check whether the sound changes with airflow.
- Unplug the purifier and place it on a stable, level floor at least 2 feet from walls and furniture.
- Clear objects away from the outside air openings. Don't insert anything into them.
- Remove the shell and check that both filters are unwrapped and seated with pull ribbons facing outward. Refit the shell and turn it clockwise until it locks.
- Plug the purifier back in and select a fan speed. If an unfamiliar sound or unexpected behavior continues, unplug the purifier and contact Molekule Customer Service.
Care & Support Guidelines
Use genuine PECO-HEPA Advanced filters. If an unfamiliar sound continues after these checks, unplug the purifier and contact us at help.molekule.com. Don't attempt to repair the fans or lights yourself. For warranty coverage and exclusions, see the limited warranty information at molekule.com.
If the issue continues, have a short video ready when you contact Customer Service. Include the sound, indicator lights, or display message that shows what's happening. Don't restart an unsafe device just to record it. Use your phone's photo app to create a cloud sharing link, if available, rather than emailing a large attachment. Check that the link opens for someone you share it with, and have it ready to send. This helps us see the issue and get you to the next step faster.
