A filter alert tells you when it's time for a fresh set or when the installed filters need a check. Start with the message, then check both filters and the shell. The steps below walk you through it.

Helpful Tip: Replace both filters together when they're due. Older Molekule filters won't fit the PECOAir and PECOAir+ filtration system.
Step-by-Step Instructions
- Check the filter status. A pulsing red symbol on PECOAir means replacement is due; a steady red symbol means a filter is missing or cannot be verified. On PECOAir+, read the Filter Status message.
- Unplug the purifier. Turn the outer shell counterclockwise and lift it off.
- Remove both filters. Set aside used filters that are due for replacement and prepare a new genuine set.
- Remove any plastic wrapping. Insert both filters fully with the pull ribbons facing outward.
- Lower the shell, align it with the base, and turn it clockwise until it locks.
- Plug the purifier back in and let startup finish. Check the filter status again.
- If the message remains, record its wording and contact Molekule Customer Service.
Care & Support Guidelines
Use genuine PECO-HEPA Advanced filters and leave them unaltered. If an alert remains after the installation check, visit help.molekule.com with its exact wording. For warranty coverage and exclusions, see the limited warranty information at molekule.com.
If the issue continues, have a short video ready when you contact Customer Service. Include the sound, indicator lights, or display message that shows what's happening. Don't restart an unsafe device just to record it. Use your phone's photo app to create a cloud sharing link, if available, rather than emailing a large attachment. Check that the link opens for someone you share it with, and have it ready to send. This helps us see the issue and get you to the next step faster.
