Yes. PECOAir and PECOAir+ works as a full air purifier without a Wi-Fi connection. The controls on the unit let you turn it on, change fan speed and switch into Auto-Protect mode. Auto Protect runs on the purifier’s built-in sensors, so it responds to changes in your air whether or not the unit is online.
Connecting to Wi-Fi and the Molekule app adds the features that need a screen: live air quality readings, alerts when your air changes, schedules, filter life tracking, remote control from anywhere, and grouping multiple devices by location. It’s also how the purifier receives firmware updates.
If your Wi-Fi drops, the purifier keeps running in its current mode and reconnects on its own when the network returns.
